Kid Ink dropped off his sophomore album yesterday, and with the album's release, Ink hit up Best Buy in NYC to say hi to a few fans and pick up a few copies of the album himself; watch us document that below.
The rapper has two singles climbing the charts right now, "Hotel" and "Body Language," and undoubtedly there are a few other radio-friendly cuts on the LP. However those radio-friendly singles might not equal album sales. Now that Full Speed is out, we've received some sales projections for what the album is expected to do opening week. Although his debut, My Own Lane, did 50,000 copies opening week, it's looking like the follow-up will do slight over half that.
HitsDailyDouble projects Full Speed will move 25-27k copies opening week, or 27-29k including streams. If you've copped the album, let us know your thoughts. Stay tuned next week to find out the final number.
[Update: Official Numbers Are In]
The official numbers are in, and according to HDD, Kid Ink’s Full Speed album sold 30,086 (38,523 including streams) copies in its first week available. While these numbers are probably not as high as the Alumni crew wished, don't be surprised to see album sales spike once one of the project’s many hits start to pick up on the radio.
If you haven’t copped your copy yet, do so here.
