Though Sony originally intended on revealing their highly anticipated PlayStation 5 console on June 4th, the gaming giant decided to postpone the event due out of respect for George Floyd and those protesting against systemic racism. Now, Sony has come forward with a new date for their big reveal, confirming that their postponed "The Future Of Gaming" event will be going down tomorrow, June 11th, at 1:00 pm Pacific Time, 4:00 pm Eastern Time.
While we don't yet know the extent of what's to be unveiled, it has been indicated that the event will place a heavy emphasis on revealing the console's upcoming games. In the process, it's likely we'll be able to see some of the upcoming graphics in action, following a breathtaking Unreal Engine 5 demo that had gamers worldwide salivating in anticipation. If we're lucky, perhaps Sony will provide a closer look at the console's highly secretive design and UI, a mystery that has spawned no shortage of fan-made variants.
Between this big reveal and the upcoming release of The Last Of Us 2 on June 19th, June has shaped up to be quite the month for PlayStation gamers. For those interested in catching the hour-long event in real-time, you can check out a Livestream tomorrow on Twitch and YouTube. If they open the door for pre-orders, will you be pulling the trigger?
