Benjamin Lasnier, a Danish producer, claims he wrote the guitar melody in Travis Scott's #1 single "Highest In The Room."

Released at the end of last year, Travis Scott came through with another smash hit in "Highest In The Room." The record ended up being boosted all the way to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 but, according to a popular producer, Travis used a prominent guitar melody without crediting him.

Travis Scott is at the center of a new lawsuit surrounding his #1 single "Highest In The Room." Producer Benjamin Lasnier, who has worked with Trippie Redd, Desiigner, and even Travis' artist Don Toliver, is claiming that the rapper stole part of a beat he created without giving him credit in a new lawsuit.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Lasnier claims he wrote and recorded the guitar refrain in "Highest In The Room" in early 2019 before uploading it three times to his Instagram Story. He then started shopping it to artists, producers, and engineers.

In Spring 2019, Lasnier claims he was in touch with Jamie Lepr, who often works with Travis. He sent him a beat pack, which included the guitar melody. Months later, a slightly-tweaked version appeared throughout "Highest."

The publication reached out to La Flame's representatives for a comment, to which they note that this has nothing to do with the artist.

"This is nothing more than a frivolous dispute between producers and has nothing to do with Travis directly," writes TMZ in their report.
