While he was commenting on Trump, Biden suggested that there are "anywhere from 10 to 15 percent" of Americans who are "just not very good people."

While he was explaining why Trump's inability to effectively put two words together is dividing the American people, Joe Biden noted that "10 to 15 percent" of the country's population are "just not very good people." The Democratic presidential candidate sat down for a virtual town hall with Don Cheadle on Thursday (June 4th), where he explained (one of the myriad of reasons) why Trump does not conduct himself the way a president should.

"The words a president says matters," Biden says (22:00). "So when a president stands up and divides people all the time, you're gonna get the worst of us to come out, the worst in us all to come out. If a president talks about equality without lecturing and has an administration that looks like the rest of the country, it changes attitudes. It's about the attitude of the country. Do we really think this is as good as we can be as a nation?"

"There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people," he continues. "But that's not who we are. The vast majority of people are decent. We have to appeal to that and unite people. Bring them together."
