Tons of exciting guests will be joining Lil Wayne on Young Money Radio tonight, an episode that is sure to touch on some important issues pertaining to the recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, among others. Wayne announced the special guests in an Instagram post just a few hours before the episode was set to air on Apple Music.
"BREAKING NEWS: #YoungMoneyRadio on @applemusic is LIVE again today with a special episode at 4pm PT/7pm ET!" Wayne wrote on the post, which includes photos of all six of his guests. "Today’s guests: The Honorable Mayor of Washington D.C., Snoop Dogg, Stephen Jackson, Chris Paul, Killer Mike, & Bun B."
"We are addressing OUR issues, OUR pain and OUR needs," he continued. "Pull up today for a REAL discussion. Luv." Wayne recently caught some heat for his response to George Floyd's murder by police, in which he told Fat Joe that he feels everybody needs to take some of the blame when a Black person is killed by cops. Wayne later discussed Floyd's tragic death with Dr. Dre on last week's episode of Young Money Radio. "That situation, it hurt my heart," Dre said. "My heart is still aching. And it felt like that cop had his knee on all of our necks, meaning black men."
One of Wayne's upcoming guests, Stephen Jackson, was exceptionally close to George Floyd, even referring to him as "twin" because he considered George to be his brother.
