Bobby Shmurda and the rest of his GS9 crew began popping off in a big way this June, going from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of YouTube views in just a matter of days. But just before their big break, it seems that the crew's star had a run-in with the law, which we're just learning about now.
Today Page Six reports that the "Hot Nigga" rapper was arrested on June 3rd for possession of a 9mm Glock pistol. Apparently police saw Shmurda (real name Ackquille Pollard) showing it off in his Brownsville, BK apartment, and although he attempted to hide the weapon under his couch, he was slapped with a felony criminal possession charge, which can result in up 15 years of prison. He's currently free on $10,000 bail.
This is unconnected to the drive-by shooting that occurred outside of Bobby Shmurda's concert in New Jersey yesterday morning.
