Michael Jordan's iconic shoe is about to sell for a wild amount at auction.

Michael Jordan is one of the most iconic athletes of all time and a big part of that is his impressive library of sneakers. His partnership with Nike started all the way back in 1984 and in 1985, he got his very first show, the Air Jordan 1. This model is very simple and can be worn with almost anything. In fact, some believe that this is the greatest shoe ever made. The sheer abundance of colorways just speaks to the power of this silhouette, although the best colorway is most definitely his "Chicago" model from when he was playing with the Bulls.

Now, a game-worn and signed pair of the original "Chicago" Air Jordan 1 can be yours through auction with Sotheby's. However, the issue is that you're going to have to be very rich if you want to afford these. As of right now, bids are starting at $100,000 and it is believed that the shoe could even elicit bids of $150,000 or more.

There are some very eager collectors out there so we wouldn't be surprised to see the shoe get over $200,000. Of course, it all depends on how many people start bidding on these. Either way, let us know if you plan on putting in a bid.
