Today marks a big day for Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. The controversial celebrity announced that he would be making his first public appearance in years via Instagram Live, inviting fans to join him at 3 PM EST. Giving people enough of an advance, you can bet top dollar that 6ix9ine is looking to break the record that Tory Lanez currently holds for the highest number of concurrent viewers on a live-stream for the platform.
He will also be premiering his new song and music video during the stream, making the announcement with a huge billboard in the middle of New York City's Times Square. "This King Is Back," he declared, showing off a new photo of himself.
Already, that picture has been turned into a cartoon for the rapper to use on social media, switching his avatar on Instagram to reflect the change. The alteration was apparently made sometime last night.
Previously, 6ix9ine had been using a cartoon image of himself eating cheese on a rat trap, joking about his status as a snitch.
There will be a lot of attention on the returning star today. Are you happy to see him back or will you be boycotting his brand new release?
