In a somewhat shocking development, YG has informed us that he's not allowed to perform at two of the three upcoming Southern California dates of the ongoing "Drake Vs. Lil Wayne" tour. The reason? His local police department.
In a tweet posted yesterday (below), the Compton MC revealed that LAPD would not allow him to perform at last night's show in Irvine, and will be maintaining that policy for Monday night's show in Hollywood.
Though no reasons have been given, we have to mention the backstage shooting that occurred last month at the very same venue in Irvine during Wiz Khalifa's "Under The Influence" Tour. Perhaps YG's connection to Jeezy (who was arrested in connection with the shooting) is why he's been singled out here, but either way, this is a pretty uncommon thing for a police force to do.
Stay tuned for updates.

[Update: iLoveMakonnen Fills In]
While YG was barred from playing two recent shows on the Drake Vs. Lil Wayne tour, recent OVO signee has been tapped for a couple of opening gigs. The "Tuesday" singer performed in YG's place Friday in Irvine, and is also accompanying the rappers at Saturday's show in Chula Vista (which YG was not on the bill for). It's unclear whether he will also perform in YG's stead at the Hollywood date.
Check out the flyer for Makonnen's dates in the gallery above.
