Travis Scott and Kid Cudi made history this week, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their first collaborative single as the new rap group THE SCOTTS. Their self-titled single marks the first time Kid Cudi has ever topped the chart, making this a pretty special week for the 36-year-old artist. Unfortunately, his glee may only last for one week because Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé are looking set to hit the top spot soon.
According to Chart Data, one of the most trusted sources as far as charting news pertains, the remix to Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" with Beyoncé is challenging for the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 next week, likely to beat out THE SCOTTS, Roddy Ricch's "The Box," Doja Cat's "Say So," The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights," and every Drake song that will undoubtedly debut on the chart.
If that does end up happening, Megan Thee Stallion will be doing some major celebrating. It would be her first-ever chart-topping song.
Earlier this week, Megan went crazy when the track entered the Top 5.
"I really want to cry right now like oh my god !!!! This is my first top 10 bitch my first top 5 !!!! Likeeeeee hottiessss we really doing this shit," she wrote on Instagram. "We aint never give up we doing everything they said we wouldn’t!!!! I said jwhite give me a beat I can go off on and he did. Thank you @beyonce ! I’m just happy to be here man. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU."
