Lil Gotit comes through with a brand new single featuring Future on ""What It Was."

New music Friday is finally here, and what a great day it is. Not only have we reached the week's end, but we've been blessed with loads of new music today too. From projects to loose singles, there is a lot to choose from. We attempt to curate the best of the rap heat on our FIRE EMOJI playlist, so if you don't follow it, do that right nowR&B SEASON is for our all our slow, baby-making jams. And finally, ON THE COME UP is for our favorite artists still on their rise and grind.

Lil Gotit's new jam with Future, "What It Was," should be hitting one of those playlists as soon as it's available on DSPs-- right now the stream is relegated to YouTube. The record, which Gotit has been teasing, and Uzi just co-signed too, contains a chaotic, scratchy beat; possibly not fully mixed and mastered or possibly a stylistic choice. A backwards winding sound carries us through while Future and Gotit litter the record with references to their drug habits, come-up and being hood babies-- which of course, is also the name of Gotit's mixtape series. Hood Baby 2 dropped quite recently actually, and also featured Future.

Quotable Lyrics

I'ma put 'em diamonds in the Wraith
Had to put my n*ggas on game
Ain't never gunna change up
I'm going outta sight
Hit the bulls eye
I been down bad in the field
With no clicks, barely getting by
