JPEGMAFIA remains unapologetically himself in his vibey and experimental new track "The Bends."

Not to be confused with the phenomenon that occurs upon resurfacing from the depths too quickly, nor of the Radiohead album of the same name, JPEGMAFIA has shared his new single "The Bends." The vibey drop comes complete with some visuals, which find our hero frolicking throughout the desert with nary a care in the world. The track itself features a typically off-kilter instrumental, a digitalized dream-turned-nightmare that seems to alternate between carefree and sinister on a dime.

JPEG is perfectly equipped to handle a beat of this nature, his easy-going flow sliding over the synthesizers. As his lyrics resonate, his vocals seeped with processed effects, we're left to be guided as he sees fit. Expect plenty of non-sequiturs, though there's certainly enough of a thematic throughline here for those willing to pay attention. Longtime fans will likely get a kick out of "The Bends," and those still looking to see what the enigmatic JPEGMAFIA is all about should consider checking this one out as well. Where do you stand -- are you on board with the movement?

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Maybe I’m stuck in my ways
Fantasies, fantasies, fantasies
I should rap like Sly Tendencies
Obviously, I’m who I meant to be
My leader treat me like an enemy, he a casualty
Wonder if he cry when he see fans of me
