It looks like Frank Ocean will be the performer at the annual Met Gala this year.

Last year's Met Gala was a memorable one, as you may recall Kanye West was the performer and he treated fans to then-unheard music off his latest album Yeezus. Since we learned recently that Frank Ocean is finally back in the studio and working on a new project, we can only hope the r'n'b singer acts accordingly.

Page Six reports that Ocean has been tapped as the performer at the upcoming Met Gala this year, which is basically a fashion show for the who's who of celebrities. It takes place on Monday, May 5th. Ocean isn't a stranger to the event, as he attended last year and took some selfies Givenchy's creative director Riccardo Tisci (see one such photo in the gallery above).

We'll keep you posted on this, and let's hope we hear some new music from the OF-affiliate r'n'b singer in the not-so distant future.
