The Black Eyed Peas have returned with their new album, Translation, featuring a myriad of different artists from all over, including Shakira, Tyga, J. Balvin, French Montana, Becky G, and many more. BEP has undergone a significant transformation since the height of their career in the early-to-late 2000s. Besides the obvious—no more Fergie—BEP has been dabbling in the Latin Boom craze more and more over the past few years. After dropping the politically-driven Masters Of The Sun Vol. 1 in 2018—their first album since 2010's The Beginning after reuniting as trio—BEP began exploring more global sounds and collaborating with some of the biggest Latin music stars. With The Voice of the Philippines' star J. Rey Soul as a semi-permanent Fergie replacement, BEP has settled into a new era, complete with the delivery their latest effort, Translation.
In many ways, Translation marks a return for the Black Eyed Peas to their hip hop origins, after spending much of their mainstream run leaning into pop and EDM sensibilities. Check out Translation below and let us know what you think.
