For some, including California's own Bobby Brackins -- performing this one as his alias Lata Harbor, Mezcal is the elixir of creativity. Once again, he has come through to make magic with his so-called "Mezcal Brigade," a crew aptly named for their ability to create while imbibing Mexico's national spirit. Together with his friends and collaborators Chloe Angelides and Nic Nac, the trio ended up crafting their new single "Drug Of Choice," a song we're happy to premiere.
"'Drug Of Choice' came about with Chloe Angelides and Nic-Nac coming to my house (the lata oasis) a little before things got crazy with corona," explains Brackins, speaking on the track's creation. "Chloe started playing chords on the Wurlitzer and we began writing to the piano. Nic-Nac added the production and the song was written really fast, pretty sure we were drinking Mezcal that day." After laying down a demo, Brackins proceeded to fire it off his Eric Bellinger, who went on to add his voice to the mix. Once all the elements came together, "Drug Of Choice" was concocted at full potency. Check it out for yourself now.
