Usher and Tyga link up on "California," a rack that the singer chose from a songwriter on the competition series "Songland."

It's rumored that Usher has been carefully crafting his next album, the first since he released 2016's Hard II Love. The acclaimed singer has released a few singles recently including "Don't Waste My Time" with Ella Mai and "Sexbeat," a song featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris that had been sitting in the vault for years. On Monday (June 15), Usher shared his latest, "California," featuring Tyga—an Ester Dean-produced track he chose from Songland.

On the show, Usher was featured as the most recent celebrity guest and he chose Ryan Cam's track "California" as his single. The competition series pairs songwriters with talent, so what we now hear is the full product from Usher, Tyga, and Ryan. The lovelorn track shows Usher pining for a lost love as he recounts memories they once shared. Check it out and let us know what you think of Usher and Tyga's "California.

Quotable Lyrics

It's been a while now
Hope you don't hate me
Ain't been on beast mode
I been in the house down south
Going crazy
Ain't been dropping pins like I used to
Ain't been on savage like I'm used to
