Buddy highlights the failure to fight for Black lives while happily appropriating Black culture that many non-Black people are guilty of on "Black 2."

Buddy calls out the hypocrisy of those who love to appropriate Black culture while staying silent on Black issues on his latest single, "Black 2." In the wake of the police killing of George Floyd that lead to the recent protests against systemic racism, many artists have been speaking out on the violence that Black people have endured at the hands of police for decades. Buddy is among those who are using their music to shed light on these issues with his new song "Black 2." Serving as a sequel to his song "Black" with A$AP Ferg off his 2018 debut album, Harlan & Alondra, "Black 2" highlights just how much society loves to claim Black culture as their own but often ignores the reality of being Black in America and fails to protect Black lives.

While "Black" was an unapologetic celebration of Blackness, "Black 2" is a reminder of how powerful Black voices are in the fight to end systemic racism once and for all. Check out "Black 2" and let us know what you think of this hard-hitting anthem.

Quotable Lyrics

Everybody tryna get dreads and shit, but they ain't African
All the light girls gettin' the tan so they can darken they skin
I'm sorry, it's a Black thing
I don't give a f*ck, I said the sh*t, with the rhetoric
