Jessie Reyez tackles Drake's "Headlines" single for Spotify Singles series.

Jessie Reyez is the latest artist to participate in Spotify's ongoing Spotify Singles series, where they have artist record covers or new versions of songs at their studios around the world. Jessie Reyez, for her part, has given fans an updated rendition of her own song "Love in the Dark," as well as a take on Drake's 2011 single "Headlines."

It feels like eons ago that Drizzy dropped his Take Care album, and so if you haven't listened to "Headlines" in a minute, this should take you back. To be sure, it's still a fresh update to the record-- with Reyez singing over a piano-laden instrumental-- but she does mimic Drake's flow (with a few additional twists and turns along the way, though) and keeps the lyrics intact. Extra flares to the song, like her haunting background vocals, make this song all brand new.

Take a listen and let us know if you're a fan of the new cover. Daniel Caesar was the last artist who participated in Spotify Singles, dropping off a cover of "Made to Fall in Love."

Quotable Lyrics

I might be too strung out on compliments
Overdosed on confidence
Started not to give a f- and stopped fearing the consequence
Drinkin' every night because we drink to my accomplishments
Faded way too long I'm floating in and out of consciousness
And they sayin' I'm back, I'd agree with that
I just take my time with all this s-, I still believe in that
I had someone tell me I fell off, ouh I needed that
