Mary J. Blige stars in the film "Body Cam" and on Friday she delivered a single from the soundtrack titled "Can't Be Life."

The Queen of Hip Hop-Soul is back with another single, and this time, Mary J. Blige is delivering a track from the soundtrack to Body Cam. The legendary R&B and soul singer shared the single "Can't Be Life" on Friday (May 22) and the song is described as a tune that "speaks directly to current times." Blige stars in Body Cam, an action, supernatural thriller about a group of Los Angeles Police officers. While looking at bodycam footage of an incident involving the death of her colleague, the grieving officer sees a mysterious figure on the tape that appears for her eyes only. She soon discovers that her fellow officers might just be haunted by someone they hoped to forget.

Body Cam is available now and stars Nat Wolf, David Zayas, Anika Noni Rose, Mason Mackie, and Philip Fornah. While you go check that out, stream "Can't Be Life" and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

I've been torn down like a worn-down crumbling building
But I'm up now, well I'm up now and I'm still living
I was chained to the pain and I couldn't feel nothing
I was waiting on somebody to come fill me with something, yeah
