Busta Rhymes and Dr. Dre remain a deadly combination, as evidenced by the slept on classic "Truck Volume."

It's Busta Rhymes' 48th birthday today, and as such, it feels appropriate to honor one of the rapper's most underrated bangers. Of course, the entirety of his 2001 album Genesis is stacked with many such tracks, but there's something about the Dr. Dre produced "Truck Volume" that stands out. Perhaps it's the ghoulish instrumental conjured by the Doc, Scott Storch, and Mike Elizondo, who employ an eerie barrage of synth organs and haunting orchestral strings. Perhaps it's Busta himself, who fires off a pair of ridiculous verses stacked with relentless flow schemes.

While many are quick to attribute Busta for his lyrical dexterity, "Truck Volume" finds him slowing down the pace. Yet his dungeon dragon energy is far from restrained. "You fuckin' with the highest my n***," he warns. "Tryin' to fuck with the giant, might as well call me Goliath my ni**a." While "Break Ya Neck" remains the most widely recognized of his Dre-produced bangers, "Truck Volume" may very come the closest to his New York emcee roots -- though as with everything, that's up for debate.

Happy birthday Bus-A-Bus! Show some love to the legend in the comments below.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Relax that shit you talk
Before I sick my bitch on you that'll bounce with your dick on a fork
I'll bring a bigger storm to calm your clouds
I own a couple things, I even own a farm with cows
I own the moment when my n***as run deep through crowds
Like how a pregnant woman breast milk leak through her blouse
