Before the UK Drill scene began poppin' off across the world, it was road rap that laid down the foundation. Groups like Section Boyz helped open the doors up for artists after them to get into the game. At some point, it felt like they were on a bit of a hiatus and emerged with a name change. They were no longer going by Section Boyz anymore due to copyright issues but rather, Smoke Boys.
As they've continued to maneuver the game under their new name, they've continued to fill the streets with new music. After releasing their single, "Spill" earlier this month, they've followed up with "Lightwork Freestyle Pt. 2." With a beat flip that comes in the middle of the track, each member of the group steps to the mic and a quick verse.
Peep the freestyle below.
Quotable Lyrics
Make a man cry a thousand tears
Any kind of diss, man grindin' years
Got gyally from far and near
OT Bop in my Nike gear
