$ilkMoney fires off a brand new album featuring what may be the title of the year, "Attack Of The Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags Of The 85."

Few album titles can conjure such evocative and strange imagery as $ilkmoney's latest Attack Of The Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags Of The 85. Though it's only been a few months since his last album G.T.F.O.M.D: There’s Not Enough Room for All You Motha F*ckas to Be on It Like This, a title even lengthier than this one. Luckily, the Divine Council emcee isn't one to waste words on wax, lining each of his creatively titled tracks with a heavy dose of dense and layered bars.

"Every song I drop this year, I wrote it this year," he revealed on Twitter. "No outdated bullshit raps from years ago that I’ve been holding on to for no reason that have nothing to do with what’s going on in today’s world."

Aesthetically, this one skews close to the golden era of underground hip-hop, possessing a gritty sonic quality fueled by sampled loop production. Unpacking a given verse from $ilk requires close attention, so don't expect this one to be a quick background listen. Especially when the title alone can yield countless interpretations -- what exactly is a Meatbag of the 85, and why are they attacking so relentlessly? In any case, fans of MF Doom, Your Old Droog, and artists of that ilk will find much to enjoy here, so do yourself a favor and check it out now.
