Didn't think you'd hear from Jay Electronica so soon, huh? Well, me neither. Frequent collaborator Paul Epworth recently enlisted Jay Electronica as well as Lil Silva for his new single, "Love Galaxy." A spacey, whirlwind of groovy instruments delivers an intergalactic experience with Lil Silva holding down the majority of the vocals. Jay Elec's contributions are small, even though, in comparison to his other work, he sounds like he's mailing it in. Either way, it's still nice to hear from Jay Electronica, especially outside of his usual comfort zone.
Earlier this year, Jay Electronica finally delivered his long-awaited debut album, The Written Testimony which was essentially a collaborative project with Jay-Z. Though it's unlikely his sophomore album is coming any time soon, perhaps a tour will be under way once the pandemic ends.
Quotable Lyrics
But damn girl, them dreams so lofty
You trying to hear purity, cream no coffee
Well, I feel ya, whatever don't kill ya
I'll break a bitch down, we'll make a bitch realer
