While fans continue to speculate whether or not Kehlani's new album is about her turbulent and rather brief relationship with YG, we're just enjoying the vibes. The 15-song project finds Kehlani crooning about all the trappings of love, both good and bad. The tracklist begins with a strong pairing of records, kicking it off with the lead single "Toxic" and then moving into a collaboration with Tory Lanez titled "Can I."
"Can I" features quirky, r'n'b production with the inclusion of spurts of guitar strings and bubbly creaking. Meanwhile Kehlani gets her flow off, singing her lyrics stacked on top of one another, quickly ushering in the next line as she wraps up the first. Tory Lanez mimics the flow for his verse, too.
Let us know what you think of the collaboration, and comment with your favorite song off the album. If you haven't listened yet, you can stream It Was Good Until It Wasn't right here. Other features on the album include Jhene Aiko, Masego, James Blake and Lucky Daye.
Quotable Lyrics
We both on fire, love the teamwork
Leave with juices on your t-shirt
Loud and clear, no need for reverb
Tell the Uber driver revert
Flip that bitch and make a u-turn
Sextape crazy, need the bloopers
Last so long, bae, you a trooper
Sniper gang, no Bradley Cooper
