Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked release the first track from their upcoming collaborative project.

Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked are some of the strongest lyricists in the game. If you're into that real rap shit, you've been on these two for years, taking in each drop with open ears. They announced that they would be teaming back up for a collaborative EP and this week, they have officially come through with the title track from H.A.R.D.

Premiering the fresh joint via Complex, the song features production from illMind, Erick Sermon, Apollo Brown, Heatmakerz, and J.U.S.T.I.C.E League. The Slaughterhouse members enlisted the help of MRK SX for the hook.

Speaking about the upcoming EP, which is out on May 29, KXNG Crooked told the publication that they are dedicating its release to the memory of Fred The Godson.

"All of this shit was meant to happen. 2020 has been rough for a lot of people so I’m glad we can bless the culture with high art," he said. "One of my favorite things about this EP is the fact that I got to hang out with Fred the Godson during the creative process. I don’t think Joell would mind me speaking for him when I say this EP is dedicated to the loving memory of Fred. Hope y’all fuck with it."

Quotable Lyrics:

We met each other on a magazine cover
It's like God told us we had to be brothers in this rap music
Never fuckin' with beatmakers, just the (Heatmakerz)
