#FreeBoosie may be the latest hash tag to be retired, but that doesn't mean he's been forgotten. Torrance Hatch, aka Boosie BadAzz, has capitalized greatly on the momentum of his prison release this past spring. The Baton Rouge native has been making moves faster than most, with his release of an assortment of remixes and singles. True fans or new fans, there’s no denying his appeal. The range and depth of his songs, from the self-evaluation of his sanity to his gutter gutter, “streetz is mine” proclamations, has amassed a strong following, now even stronger that he's free. One thing’s for sure, Boosie has come out fierce, pulling out all the stops to fully immerse himself in the hip-hop game once more.
Let's take a look at a few savage moves the heavy hitter has made over the past few months, as we await his upcoming album.

DJs unmixing their mixes just to throw in some Boosie
Boosie wasted little time in collaborating with fresh faces for a slew of remixes. There was his appearance on K Camp’s remix to the banger, “Cut Her Off” – while the North Memphis rookie Snootie Wild included him on his remix to “Made Me.” Perhaps the biggest remix move was the team up with heavy hitting producer, DJ Mustard for “ Face Down” where Boosie delivers bars and offers up the hook for the song.
Releasing singles upon singles
For many artists locked up, there’s ample time to write songs. With five years in the pen, it should be no surprise that Boosie, became a lyrical dragon-- writing over 1000 songs. That’s like one song every two days. Math aside though, the prolific rapper officially stepped back in the hip hop game with “Show the World” – a street anthem featuring fellow Trill Fam member, Webbie. Check out his joints we’ve featured on HNHH, including “Crazy”, "Grade A, “ She Want Some” and “ Don’t Know My Style.”
Touring
Touring
After only about a month of being back with family, Boosie embarked on a 2-month tour in early May. From Los Angeles to Savannah GA, the “Touch Down to Cause Hell,” or #TDTCH tours have been packed, with fans knowing every word to his songs. Keeping up with the momentum, “Mr. Wipe Me Down” began making additional club and concert appearances while still headlining a slew of shows with the likes of Future, Chief Keef, and Snootie Wild.
Creating a clothing line- Jewel House brand
Creating a clothing line- Jewel House brand
If you had to imagine Boosie dressed and ready for a photo shoot, 9 times out of ten you’d imagine him with a fresh fade, multiple chains, and an iconic Coogi sweater. Well now the emcee has decided to make his own clothing label this fall with the name Jewel House. In an interview on the brand new label, Boosie discussed how he became tired of making other companies money, and came up with the idea while in the pen to make his own clothing line. Inspiration for Jewel House comes from his seven children whom he finds nothing to be more precious than.
His double disc "Touch Down 2 Cause Hell" album
Boosie is skipping the usual mixtape-prior-to-album-release, and instead putting in work for Touchdown to Cause Hell. His sixth studio album under Trill Entertainment will combine all his work this year under one piece-- well, literally, it'll be two, as he's promised the best double disc since All Eyez On Me. The emcee has enlisted talented artists including Southern heavy hitters Jeezy, Future, and T.I. He's also been spotted in the studio with Tyga and Chris Brown. for what he calls bringing in real reality rap to the game. We can only hope, and wait to see what else Boosie Boo has in store for us.
