Back in May, police were called to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, when it was reported that Ray J had "made contact" with a woman's rear end, against her will. When cops arrived on the scene, they deemed the actions "incidental", and not that of sexual battery, but were forced to take the singer in when he caused a scene in the Valet area, refusing to leave, and eventually kicking out a cop car window (which he says was due to him being "claustrophobic"), and spitting in an officer's face.
Ray J is now being charged for the incident, but unlike the cops, the D.A. is not buying the "incidental" groping story, and have hit the singer with a sexual battery charge, and well as "4 counts of resisting arrest, 3 counts of assault and battery and 2 counts of vandalism".
All of the charges qualify as misdemeanors. Ray J has yet to speak on the matter.
