Owens knows what it's like to be misunderstood.

Antonio Brown has been one of the biggest names in sports this past year although it's mostly because of his antics over the last four months. It feels like there is something new to report on every single day and it has gotten to a point where Brown is a daily topic on sports talk television. If you're a fan of the wide receiver, it's probably been quite frustrating to see him without a team although you can't help but feel like much of this is his own doing.

Terrell Owens was one of those wide receivers who was also known for his antics and over the past few weeks, he has shown quite a bit of empathy towards Brown. In a recent interview with TMZ, Owens spoke about the problems Brown has faced and how thinks the NFL is also partially to blame for all of it.

"I think that's probably, maybe a tactic of the NFL to drag it out to where, you know, he can't get on the field this year," Owens said. "I don't condone everything he's doing but I understand where he's coming from."

Owens went through a lot of different phases throughout his career and for many, he is one of the best to ever play the game. Brown is considered one of the best wide receivers of this generation so it's not surprising that Owens sees himself as a mentor to the former Pittsburgh Steeler.

What do you think of Owens' take? Is he right or is Brown out of pocket?
