"What's a black Beatle anyway, a fuckin' roach?"
That's Kanye West in 2010, on his track "Gorgeous." Now it seems he has the potential to become the closest thing to a "black Beatle" since Billy Preston became known as the "fifth Beatle" for his work on Let It Be. Both the UK's Sun and NY Post's Page Six (both of which must be taken with a grain of salt) report that the duo have been in the studio together.
The Sun (which requires paid membership to view the actual article) quotes "a source close to Kanye," who says: "Kanye and Paul have known each other for a long time but have become more friendly recently. There's every chance they'll head into the studio together."
The more recent NY Post article is more secretive, quoting only "sources" that say West and Macca have been working on a track titled “Piss on My Grave,” and that West was in attendance at McCartney's recent show at L.A.'s Dodger Stadium.
Think Sir Paul will end up on the follow-up to Yeezus?
