ScHoolBoy Q's "Studio" is his biggest single to date, and while it gave the TDE rapper a fair amount of exposure, the true star-making moment belonged to BJ The Chicago Kid, whose syrupy hook carried the song in many ways. Q is surely grateful to BJ for the assist, as he's returned the favor on the Chicago Kid's newest tape, The M.A.F.E. Project.
The track in which Q guests is split in two, the first of which has BJ adding some melodic vocals to Kanye West's "Send It Up" (despite the title being "Hold My Liquor", though that song is also sampled). Things get less confrontational on "It's True", which features chopped and screwed vocals from BJ, as well as a scene-stealing verse from ScHoolboy.
Quotable Lyrics:
They hate a black nigga
When getting money's involved
Got an ounce in my drawers
I just want to live forever my nigga
