Iggy Azalea's The New Classic and Future's Honest both hit shelves yesterday, on April 22nd. The albums are vastly different and both attract a different kind of rap fan. So who is able to sell more to their respective fans? It's looking like Iggy Azalea will take the lead, despite plenty of early reviews not so on board with The New Classic (find out what we thought of the LP tomorrow).
The Australian bombshell is expected to move 50-55k opening week, while Future is projected to sell 45-50k in his first week on shelves, which is only a bit higher than the sales of his debut album, Pluto (Pluto moved 41,000 units).
Check back in next week when we find out the actual first week sales for either rapper. Do these numbers surprise you? Which album is in your iTunes? Read our review of Honest here.
