Bobby Shmurda has been taking over the NY streets these past few weeks with his record “Hot Nigga”, and its Shmoney Dance. While doing some promotion runs earlier this week, Bobby revealed that he was in talks with some record labels, and it looks like he’s already picked a home.
Taking to Instagram Thursday night, Epic Records executive, Sha Money XL, announced that the internet & Vine sensation has signed a deal with Epic Records. His caption read,
“Deal is done @bobby_shmurda #EPIC no one does the underdogs better then me. Brooklyn this 1 is for you,!”
Bobby was gaining recognition from artists such as Meek Mill, Fabolous, and Raekwon when they brought out the young street rapper at various events, but it wasn’t until Jay Z and Beyonce's co-sign during their “On the Run” tour that his hype catapulted to the next level.
Now the true question lies if he can back up "Hot Nigga" with some more hits. Guess time will only tell.
What you think? Is Bobby here to stay?
