Lil Wayne just kicked off his "Drake Vs. Lil Wayne" tour about a week ago, and made a stop in Hartford, Connecticut last night where we saw him bring out special guest 50 Cent. Following the show, Weezy F paid a visit to the ESPN headquarters, where he happened to release some information on the release date for Tha Carter V.
MissInfo reports that Wayne appeared on both Sportscenter and First Take, and while on First Take the rapper revealed to the host Stephen A. Smith that Tha Carter V is due out on October 28th. The album was originally scheduled to arrive in August/September, but received a pushback.
Do you think the date will stick? We can only hope. Listen to Weezy's recent single release featuring Drake, "Grindin", here.

[UPDATE: Cover Art Revealed Too]
Another update on the highly anticipated Tha Carter V album. As we reported above, Weezy hit up ESPN's SportsCenter and First Take. While he revealed the release date on First Take, he went on to give away more content on SportsCenter, namely the album artwork.
In the vein of past Carter album covers, it features a young Weezy F (face tattoos still prominent) this time with his mother. Take a look in the gallery above, via MissInfo.
