Da Brat has already served a three-year sentence after she pled guilty to aggravated assault in 2007, when she violently hit an ex-NFL cheerleader with a bottle inside an Atlanta nightclub. Although she's served her sentence (not to mention community service hours), she hasn't finished paying for the crime yet. Shayla Stevens, who cheered for the Atlanta Falcons, filed a civil lawsuit against the femcee, and a verdict was just reached the other day.
The jury found that Da Brat responsible for Stevens' permanent facial scarring, neurological impairment, and severe mental pain. The jury awarded the victim a total of $6.4 million, to cover her past and future loss of wages as well as all her injuries from the violent incident. They first awarded Stevens $3.7 million, but tacked on another $2.7 million as added punishment.
