Lifetime has been prolifically in-touch with R&B singers as of late. On top of green-lighting (and then struggling to make) an Aaliyah biopic, the network has now officially announced a brand new original comedy starring two of hip-hop's most successful songstresses: Jill Scott and Eve.
The romantic comedy centers on three single best friends (Scott, Eve and Hall) who vow to be married within the year after seeing the group's fourth member get hitched. Desperate, each woman spends the next 12 months trying to lock down a husband, but will they all make it to the altar? Considering this is a Lifetime movie, we can assume the women will struggle and ultimately learn the power of female companionship.
Jill Scott collaborated with Eve on 2011's "Shame," a single off her The Light of the Sun LP. Regina Hall made a name for herself as Brenda in the Scary Movie franchise as well as a leading role in the Think Like A Man trilogy (that's right; a third one is on its way).
