Any details we can get on Kendrick Lamar's new album are welcome, as it is being kept tightly under wraps. Today we get word that Pete Rock made a contribution to the LP, which is as of yet untitled.
While talking to XXL, the veteran producer spoke on connecting with the TDE camp, and K. Dot specifically. "Kendrick Lamar, I worked with him on his new album," he told XXL Magazine. He continued to shed a bit more light, "I did some scratching and I’m on the hook on one of his songs on his album. I’m really excited about that. It’s just a regular hook. I can’t really sing it to you, you’re just going to have to hear it."
He revealed that he met the West Coast Top Dawg through text messages, after already working with his label mates ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. "I met Kendrick through texts actually. I got his number and [we] had conversations through texts."
Back in February, it was reported through Billboard magazine that Kendrick's new album would be dropping on September. Only time will tell.
