T.I. has been in the game for some time, and in recent years, he found himself becoming something of a peacekeeper. Besides helping strangers from suicide attempts, Tip has also been the voice of reason in some rapper disputes, orchestrating the truce of Jeezy and Rick Ross recently. With the Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim beef popping off once again (mainly on the latter's side), Billboard decided to ask the Atlanta rapper's opinion on the feud.
The Paperwork emcee explained that the situation between Nicki and Kim is more "complicated" than it seems, especially considering Nicki first appeared to some as a “new and younger version” of Kim.
"Just because you heard another person say [they're the Queen of Hip Hop] you gonna be on edge," he explained of Kim's stance. "I feel like that's more of the case with Kim and Nicki, even though I don't know what started any of this, it's a little more complicated to put to bed because of that fact."
Tip stressed that Nicki's constant comparison to the Junior Mafia rapper also probably played a role. "It's gonna put a chip on your shoulder in a different way too," he said.
As far as the talk of a Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea beef is concerned, T.I. was quick to dismiss the proposed competition. “That's a little more preposterous, like 'what the fuck' because they're not even in each other's lane," he explained.
