Naming a track after Wu-Tang Clan is a pretty ballsy and confident move, but luckily for KANEDA, one of this week's Heatseekers, his music also bears those two characteristics. Add in a flute-led, RZA-esqe beat, and he really earns the right to the Wu-Tang reference.
KANEDA describes his music:
"Well to start, my music is kinda like the book 'Catcher in the Rye.' It's like a coming to age story of growing up in my city, past mistakes, ups and downs -- just a person's life experience. I treat my music like directors treat movies or like how artists treat art -- I try to paint a picture that people can understand."
Quotable Lyrics:
100 years of solitude
Breaking down these molecules
A young Tesla
Electrify your fuckin' follicles
