Cam Reddish's injury status remains uncertain going into the Elite Eight portion of the NCAA Tournament.

Cam Reddish was helpless as he watches his Duke teammates overcome a spirited Virginia Tech squad to reach the Elite Eight of the March Madness tournament. Although he'd begun taking warmup shots in the shootaround before Friday night's contest, team doctors rose to their feet, to rule him ineligible for the game, moments before the opening tip-off.

Reddish told coaches his knee was bothering him sometime before the warmup session, but it wasn't until they notice him limp that his status was downgraded to code orange. Inevitably, Cam Reddish wanted to be out there with his 'mates, for what was inevitably to be the biggest game of his career up to that point.

"I talked to him before the game, and he was skeptical about whether he wanted to play," Zion Williamson professed after the game, reiterating the helpless position his teammate Reddish found himself in. "I was like, 'If you can't go out there and play, you won't be letting us down.'"

Without Reddish's sharpshooting, the Duke Blue Devils relied heavily on their supporting characters, as Reddish, although a potential lottery pick in the upcoming NBA draft, is still viewed as the 3rd scoring option on a roster loaded with cornerstone talent.

In the end, the Duke Blue Devils lead by Zion Williamson, R.J Barrett and point guard Tre Jones managed to squeak by the opposition with a narrow 2-point victory. Reddish's status remains up in the air for their matchup tomorrow with Michigan State.
