After a minor setback, it looks like the follow up to Jhene Aiko's Sail Out EP will finally be arriving next month.
According to Rap-Up.com, Jhene Aiko’s debut album, Souled Out, will be dropping August 25th via Artium Records/Def Jam Records. While we already heard the first single off it titled “To Love & Die” featuring Cocaine 80s, Jhene decided to perform another album cut back in April at Coachella called “Spotless Mind".
Look for the upcoming project to feature production from No I.D., Key Wane, Fisticuffs, James Fauntleroy, and Dot Da Genius. Her daughter Namiko is expected to be featured on the track “Promises.”, but that will be it as for the features. She told Rap-Up,
“I did the album and it just shaped up to be all me. I just didn’t leave room for anybody just because I have a lot to say. I just wrote the songs from top to bottom.”
Stay tuned for more information regarding the album as we near closer to the August 25th release date.
(Sidenote: There is no confirmation on this release date, but I would probably bet this holds to be true.)
