Pierce thinks the Lakers need a lot more than big Z.

Zion Williamson will likely be selected with the first overall pick in this year's NBA draft. The Duke Blue Devils star has helped lead his team to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA March Madness Tournament and they are still heavy favorites to take home the title. With all this in mind, NBA teams are already doing their best to tank and give themselves a better chance at winning the draft lottery which would give them the ability to take Zion first. While they aren't in last place by any means, the Los Angeles Lakers still have a shot at winning said lottery as they have been eliminated from playoff contention.

TMZ Sports asked former NBA star Paul Pierce if whether or not Zion would make a big difference for the Lakers. For Pierce, the Lakers need a lot more than just the Duke freshman.

"Zion is not the savior, but he's very good -- but y'all need more than that!" Pierce explained. "Y'all need a lot. A lot. A lot."

Pierce even threw some shots in the direction of LeBron James, saying "LeBron is doing very well out here -- with his production company."

The Lakers are currently 11th in the Western Conference with a record of 33-42. They only have seven games left to play this season.
