Wiz Khalifa Announces New Mixtape "28 Grams" [Update: Artwork Revealed]

Wiz Khalifa announced that he will be dropping a new mixtape before "Blacc Hollywood".

Well here’s some dope news to kick start your weekend. As Wiz Khalifa puts the final touches on his upcoming album Blacc Hollywood, the Taylor Gang general is also about to release a new mixtape for us as well.

In a new interview with MTV, Wiz revealed that he will be releasing a new mixtape titled 28 Grams to hold fans over until his upcoming album, Blacc Hollywood, arrives. He didn’t reveal a release date, but he did say that it’s coming really soon, like any day now!

“It’s gonna drop fast. You should go home,” said Wiz. “It’s more than a teaser, it’s gonna get the Khalifa train rolling.” 

In the meantime, Wiz will be embarking on this summer’s “Under the Influence of Music” tour with Jeezy, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Check out tour dates here.

[Update: Artwork Revealed]

Only a few days after the announcement, Wiz Khalifa has shared the official cover art for his upcoming mixtape, 28 Grams. Outside of the project's title, the artwork bears the words "Trap Wiz", which leads us to believe it will sound something like the rapper's beloved, Lex Luger-helmed mixtape, Cabin Fever.

No word on a release date just yet. Check out the cover in the gallery above.
