The Golden State Warriors got even better this offseason when they added big man DeMarcus Cousins to their already stacked lineup. Thanks to this addition, the Warriors were given even better odds to win the NBA title, something they have accomplished three times in the last four seasons. Cousins, unfortunately, had to start the first half of the season on the sidelines due to an injury to his Achilles tendon. In order to make Cousins more comfortable, Curry took it upon himself to get close to Cousins and make sure he felt as though he was at home.
"He's committed himself to make sure DeMarcus is comfortable and to make sure DeMarcus feels like this is home," Draymond Green told The Mercury News. "He's never been a guy that is not welcoming of anyone. When that's the face of your franchise, that is important."
Part of Curry's efforts to make Cousins feel welcomed was catering food to his hotel room during road trips. In fact, Curry would send dishes from his wife Ayesha's restaurant called International Smoke. Cousins even explained how he loves the Southern-style restaurant now.
"That's one of my new favorite places," Cousins explained. "It's incredible."
As the playoffs approach, we'll see if Curry's gesture pays off in some solid NBA title-worthy chemistry.
