After appearing in a hilariously suggestive genie-lamp costume on The Ellen Show last night to promote his new film, Will Smith hit the purple carpet outside the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, where he was joined by wife Jada Pinkett Smith, sons Trey, 26, and Jaden Smith, 20, and daughter Willow Smith, 18.
The 50-year-old actor, who plays the Genie in Disney’s live-action remake of 1992’s animated classic, was dressed in a funky, black-and-white printed suit, whilst Jada channeled her inner genie with a blue crop top and harlem-pant ensemble. Will cozied up to his wife, as they posed for photos with their children. He also jokingly seemed to take on the role of protective dad, attempting to shield Willow’s legs from the photos. In addition to his own family, Will also received support from his former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-stars, Alfonso Ribeiro and Tatyana Ali.
With crazy Box Office projections for the upcoming film, it's no surprise that Will has been doing the most in terms of promoting the anticipated movie. The star even released his own hip-hop remixed version of the original animated movie's iconic hit "Friend Like Me" with DJ Khaled - which will appear in the film's official soundtrack - so we're sure the final product is going to be one for the books.
Aladdin hits theaters this Friday, are you excited?
