Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson recently took the court in a customized colorway of the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 11, featuring the names of his kids, True and Prince, as well as his brother, Amari.
Following Tuesday night's loss to the Boston Celtics, Thompson shared some detailed images of the meaningful sneakers, which were designed to bring attention to Epilepsy Toronto.
The Toronto-native captioned the photos of his sneakers:
"Todays a special day for me and these kicks are very special to me. @epilepsytoronto #PurpleDay #MyMotivation#PurpleDayTO"
According to Cosmopolitan, Thompson's younger brother Amari has epilepsy, and his family started the Amari Thompson Fund through Epilepsy Toronto to help other families like theirs.
"Too many struggle alone, desperate to manage this new and often scary life with seizures," Thompson states on the Epilepsy Toronto website. "The Amari Thompson Fund supports epilepsy programs and services that ensure no one faces epilepsy alone."
