The rapper wants her fans to become educated voters.

She may be a polarizing figure in hip hop whose past behaviors have caused her to face backlash from the public, but Cardi B is still putting her best foot forward in an effort to get young people involved in politics. Earlier this year during the United States government shutdown, the Bronx rapper took to social media in an attempt to school naysayers who were speaking negatively about former President Barack Obama.

"Now, I don't want to hear any of y'all mothaf*ckas talkin' about, 'Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days,'" she said. "Yeah, b*tch, for healthcare! So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you b*tches could go check y'all p*ssy at the gynecologist with no mothaf*ckin' problem."

Although her delivery could be described as crass, there were a handful of political figures who agreed with her sentiments. Some boldly reposted Cardi's Instagram video without hesitation, while others simply concurred without sharing the visual. In another move to use her influence positively, on Thursday Cardi shared an image on Instagram of the Democratic nominees for the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. She told readers that she hopes they educate themselves about nominees now before the number is widdled down to just a few.

"Post I love to see!," she wrote. "These are the democratic nominees. I can’t front I only hurd and read on about six of them .Im going to research these names on my flight ! LETS START LEARNING AND ENCOURAGING VOTING NOW ! Not when is popular to do so and it’s only like four nominees left."

Love & Hip Hop New York's Yandy Smith commented, "πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ A Change is comingπŸ™πŸΎ," while Democratic nominee Andrew Yang came through by writing, "You know you want to join the Yang Gang, Cardi."
