Remy Ma was released from prison only two days ago, and she's already released a huge remix to DJ Khaled's "They Don't Love You No More". Today she did her very first post-prison interview, and it's safe to say, she'll be working at a similar pace for the foreseeable future.
Talking to Funkmaster Flex, Remy revealed some of the rappers she's looking to collaborate. "I really had my heart set on Meek," she said, expressing disappointment over the rapper earning a jail sentence just as she got out.
She then expressed her desire to get a few of the female emcees of the moment on one track, dropping a couple of names "Me, maybe Iggy Azalea, and Nicki," she said.
Remy explained that getting the women of rap together may help to combat the "there can only be one" narrative applied to female emcees. "What I think happens with females in this game, they tend to allow other people to pit us against each other," she said. "I've said this before. They make it seem like there can only be one female. It can be a thousand guys that's putting out music and rapping and doing what they do, but when it comes to females in this hip-hop business, they make it seem like it can only be one, and if there's more than one then 'Alright, y'all better be at each other's throats every chance that you get.'
