Meek Mill recently motioned to have a judge remove the rapper's need to sit through a legal deposition. The latter stems from an ongoing legal battle brought forth by the estate of Travis Ward, one of the two individuals killed outside of a 2016 Meek Mill concert in Connecticut.  According to The Blast, court documents reveal Meek Mill suggests that the people suing him do not have the information to make him come forward. As such, he does not believe the court should agree to their demands to have him sit down for a deposition. Moreover, the Philly-bred rapper affirms that he will be asking for a protective order to legally seal any videotapes to halt any press to acquire them.

The rapper's attorney pens: "The noticed deposition of Mill is a thinly-veiled attempt to harass a public figure who had no relationship to the Plaintiffs’ injuries to try to extract a nuisance settlement. The Court should not permit this abuse. The lawsuits brought forth by two separate estates allege that Meek, the Oakdale Musical Theatre Company and Live Nation are to be held responsible for the death of the two individuals. As such, mainly negligence is placed at the center of these accusations.
