While August Alsina has been constantly faced with questions about his alleged falling out with Trey Songz over the last month (to varying reactions), Trey has been relatively quiet on the subject.
The most recent development in the perceived feud (which began with August proclaiming he "didn't fuck with Trey Songz") was that the two singers had spoken on the phone and were on better terms. In a new interview with Capital Xtra, Trey has finally commented on what he described as the "descrepancy" between him and August.
"We had a discrepancy and he didn’t know how to deal with that," said Trey. "He hasn’t been in the situation where he has to answer the same question a million times, that’s frustration."
The singer continued to address August's recent comments in a level-headed fashion. "He probably said some things he really didn’t mean. Out of pressure. I really care about him. He got a lot going on in his life outside of music and I know that about him. So, I didn’t feel the need to speak out against him."
Trey Songz' upcoming album Trigga is set for a July 1st release date. Here's hoping that Him and August can get it together for a collaboration on the project.
