Future #1 overall pick Zion Williamson is going to try to sign every autograph he can as an NBA superstar, because he still remembers how hurt he was when Anthony Davis and John Wall turned him down as a kid. Ironically, it'll be Davis' team that Zion takes over this year.

In a 2016 episode of Home Team Hoops' "On The Rise" video series, Williamson explained:

"When I was little, I looked up to high school players and wanted their autographs and sometimes I couldn't get it, I'd be hurt," Williamson says on camera. "I said when I grew up, I don't want to be like that. I want to sign every kid's autograph. No matter how long it takes me."

"I try to sign every kid's autograph. I don't want to turn a little kid down because I know it will hurt them because it hurt me. Anthony Davis, John Wall turned me down. So I try to sign everybody's."

The autograph discussion starts at about the 4:45 mark in the video below:

The Pelicans are still hoping to convince Anthony Davis to team up with the 18-year old phenom, but it appears AD's trade demands have not changed.

The 26-year old superstar will become a free agent in the summer of 2020 if the Pelicans fail to either sign him to a supermax extension or find a trade partner before the February 2020 deadline. If traded, Davis is reportedly only willing to re-sign with a handful of teams, including the Lakers and New York Knicks.
